Protect your vote

Civilrights.org has a voting resource and voting rights guide to ensure your vote counts. Jeff Lieber at Daily Kos offered some very astute reasons to STFIL and only vote provisional ballot if all else fails. That said, if you are hassled at the polls, please don't leave without voting. It is your right to vote, no matter what, so do use the provisional ballot if you must. Double check your vote as there are instances of the machines flipping votes or not recording votes - mostly for Democrats. Nice.

O Canada!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Canada votes tomorrow. Here is an interesting article on voter registration and I.D. requirements. Compare that to U.S. requirements and you'll understand why voter suppression, on top of onerous and confusing requirements, is something to take seriously here.
