My boss is African American and never thought he would see this day. Just last week he was called the n-word (yes, in Southern California). His father was murdered by the KKK during the Civil Rights Movement. Today he is beaming, yet knows there is much work to do.
The work, unfortunately, is just beginning. Undoing 8 years of Bush shit is going to be tough. But, man, oh man, what a night! I can not even imagine what Obama's victory means for people of color. It means the world to me and I'm a white girl. Yes we can. Yes we will. Yes we did!
